Children’s Lessons
We follow Ducklings 1-4 and Stages 1 - 7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway (LTSP) Every swimmer is assessed to ensure they start at the right level for learning. We deliver the course using game-based activities with purposeful outcomes. We have 3 teachers for the lower levels to ensure maximum learning takes place. All instructors will be teaching from in the pool. We assess on a weekly basis and we keep records of progress throughout the term We include water safety activities and support the RLSS ‘National Drowning Prevention Week’ in June each year. Week 5 of each term the children will have challenge week, where classes can experience different depths of water and distances to swim. Children will have the opportunity to take part in the ABC Annual Gala in December.
ABC Swim School
We are a Swim England Accredited Swim School. We work towards Duckling, Stages 1 - 7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway (LTSP), followed by Stages 8 - 10 for multi aquatic disciplines. Many other awards are available for Artistic Swimming, Rookie Lifesaving and Challenge Awards. Distance sessions are held for those working towards 20m - 2000m. At the end of each term, progress reports are given. Our lessons are small in order to enhance the swimming experience of every individual and allows each swimmer to progress at their own pace. Badges and certificates are complimentary for awards achieved.
