Junjie Guadayo Tennis Coaching (Furama)
Please ensure you coordinate your schedule with the coaches before making any bookings. For further details, please contact the administration.
Junjie’s father has always been the primary influence for his love of the tennis sport. He started
playing tennis as early as 9 years old and his skills and proficiency in the sport has immediately
brought him to heights as a junior ranked player in the Philippines. Since then, Junjie has been part of
the tennis athletic program of the educational institution he studied at as a child, allowing him to
master playing tennis competitively and bring prestige to his school, and eventually completed his
Bachelor degree as a full scholar in the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Soon after finishing his degree in 2008, Junjie started his career by coaching a team of junior tennis
athletes in both primary and secondary schools. Through Junjie’s well-structured tennis and
mentoring programs which focuses on core foundations and fundamental techniques, he has taken
significant strides and concluded his 5-year coaching stint with several team championships to his
name.
Junjie’s love for his university alma mater brought him back to the same institution where he also
spent 2 years as Head Coach of the UP Tennis Varsity team. One of his greatest achievements was
by making history in bringing his team towards the University Athletic Association of the Philippines
(UAAP) championship finals, an accomplishment that seemed elusive for more than a decade before
his coaching time.
After securing his coaching qualification certification from the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA),
Junjie moved to Singapore in 2014 and worked for 6 years as a professional tennis coach in Ignite
Tennis Academy. During this time, Junjie had the best opportunities to train groups of children as
young as 4 years old, and consistently develop them to be competitive players in major Singapore
tournaments such as SPEX and JTTL. Apart from coaching children, Junjie also has extensive
coaching programs catered to adults who love the sport.
Junjie keeps an agile mindset and while he ensures the best training for his students, he likewise tries
to keep himself fit and maintain his competitive stance. He’s competed in a number of tennis
tournaments in Singapore and won under different categories. He last won a Championship title in the
STA Pesta Sukan Open/ Masters Tennis Championships 2019, under the Men’s 35+ Doubles
category and has consistently made it to the semi-finals in the Mixed Open Doubles category since
2018
